Over half of Australian mats are Matshop mats. We are Australia's highest-rated manufacturer and your favourite mat shop. High quality, industry-leading matting that lasts and lasts is our number 1 goal, with sustainable sourcing and unbeatable customer service following closely behind. Our dedicated team genuinely cares about customers and is always happy to go the extra mile...it's less crowded there.
Matshop was borne from a desire to make great quality mats accessible to everyone. Australia was missing a way for the average consumer to buy mats direct from the manufacturer, so non-business customers were stuck with expensive or poor-quality products from resellers and chain suppliers. We knew that the future of retail was online, so wanted to be ready and waiting when any customer searched for a matting solution.
We started matshop.com.au in 2013 hoping to bring mats to the masses and in 2021 we are proud to be able to say that we achieved that goal. As a manufacturer and distributor, we very rarely go out of stock. That lets us offer same day despatch and a best price guarantee for 99% of our products. All this, we do with confidence as our products are supported by the longest warranty in the industry.
Above all else, we value our energetic culture that thrives on creating amazing customer experiences. We genuinely love disrupting the industry by delivering the best quality products in the shortest possible time. We are determined to out-shine, out-perform and out-hustle any other company.
We operate on a culture of ‘yes’ and are completely transparent in our operations. If you come to us with a problem we cannot solve, we will always be upfront and direct you towards the leading solution in that area. We frequently refer customers to competitors if we feel they can deliver a more effective solution.
We listen to our customers to find the best solution every single time. We promise to align our goals with yours to make sure you are always happy with the end result. We have our finger on the pulse of the newest technologies to bring you the most modern, most beneficial mats out there.
All of the above, we do within the budget and within time constraints. There will never be any hidden costs when you shop with Matshop and we will always execute our services on time. We can be sure of this because we never over-promise, so we never under-deliver.
We registered the amazing domain matshop.com.au and set off on our mission to cover Australia in mats. Our vision was to become Australia's most highly reviewed mat company and our fresh-faced team was instantly committed to paving the way for a raised bar in customer service.
We bought our first mat printing machine. Being able to print our logo mats on-site allowed us to reduce the average logo mat lead time by 83.1%, resulting in some very happy customers. Later in the year, we broke the logo-mat lead-time record by printing and delivering a mat within 57 minutes of receiving the order!
We added artificial grass to the range! This was the year we figured out a way to print your logos and designs onto artificial turf. We had been interested in producing these types of mats for a while, but it took a lot of research to be able to print at the high standard our customers had come to expect.
We invested in machinery that prints your designs onto coir mats on-site in the factory. This maximised our effectiveness as our production rates hit an all-time high of 313 mats per day! With more coir mats being printed in less time, we could focus more of our sales efforts on sustainable products - one of our first core values.
We went national! We opened our sales offices in Sydney, Adelaide, Gold Coast, Brisbane & Perth. More offices meant customers around Australia were within reach, so we could continue our great customer service nationwide.
We moved into a new office as our team and business grew. Our new facility adjoined our warehouse and was 6 times the size of our humble beginnings. With our on-site production line and office team under the same roof, our business spirit grew exponentially.
It's official! We have become the most highly reviewed mat company in Australia. Our commitment to customer service appears to have paid off when all of you vote Matshop the best mat supplier in the country. Despite our pride and happiness, we remain committed to improving further - onwards and upwards!
We installed two new manufacturing lines. The first allowed us to print even more promotional items for businesses wanting on-mat advertisements. The second was an innovative printer for rubber backed mats that propelled us into Australia's work health & safety industry.
Maintaining our value to constantly improve, we recently added our most innovative piece of tech yet. A bespoke automated mat cutting system designed by our director himself.
