The hard wearing poly propylene synthetic coir entrance mat has been designed to have the appearance of a natural coir mat. The coarse carpet surface fibres work to scrape and remove dirt or other particles from feet to prevent it from being tracked into your facility and trap them in between the surface allowing the surface to remain free from particles that could be brought into the building by the following person. Backed with a post-consumer rubber backing, this environmentally friendly backing provides a firm and sure backing to prevent movement on a variety of surface options. Manufactured from a poly propylene carpet surface, this solution dyed fibre is bonded onto a recycled rubber backing. This allows the mat to be cut to size or shape without fraying or losing fibres like a natural coir product does, the tightly needle punched carpet is very dense and will not shed fibres. This scraper mat can be supplied with a square edge where the mat is placed into a recess or with a bevelled edge where the mat is loose laid onto an existing floor surface. Being solution dyed, this means that the mat remains colour fast and prevents early fading. As this mat has very high scraping properties, it is important to extract the dirt to get maximum life out of the mat. If left in the mat dirt, sand and other debris act as an abrasive and cut the fibres down causing premature wear. To extract this dirt, we recommend a regular vacuum with a powerful brush driven head. This mat is suitable for use in high traffic entrances; this includes commercial buildings such as office towers, shopping centres, schools and other demanding environments.
