A chair mat that lasts & doesn't crack, that is the reason these mats have become Australia's highest rated chair mats.

Chair Mat | High Quality Chair Mats With 12 Year Warranty

We can't find products matching the selection.
We are proud to offer Australia's most highly rated office chair mat. Whether you work from home alone or you run an office with hundreds of chairs, the wheels ('casters') will quickly damage any unprotected floors. Wheeling around uneven floors also causes unnecessary strain for you and your employees. The best computer desk chair mats are transparent, so you will barely notice them. Save your back, protect your floors and maintain the style of the room. We also have a unique range of soft chair mats, so your feet can rest on a plush, absorbent surface if that's what suits your space best. Whatever you choose, all Matshop's heavy-duty chair mats are covered by an exclusive 12-year warranty. That is the longest warranty in the industry!

Choosing your office chair mat

Selecting the correct chair mat is important to ensure that you get the maximum life from the chair mat and to make rolling over the mat safe and easy. A chair mat that is too thin or lightweight will cause premature cracking and create impressions from the chair castors making it difficult to move around.

To choose your chair mat, you first need to determine the type of floor you have in your space. If you have carpet, you need a chair mat with grippers that will stop the mat from sliding around. Grippers are tiny bumps on the underside of your chair mat that dig into the carpet pile and hold the mat in place. These small grippers are designed for the specific floor type and will not damage the rug. If you have hard floors, you don’t need grippers.

See our step-by-step guide below for assistance in choosing the perfect chair mat:

How To Choose The Correct Chair Mat

  1. Determine your floor type. If you have hard floors, choose a chair mat without grippers. If you have carpet, move on to step 2.
  2. Measure the thickness of the carpet and underlay (see diagram): hold a long drawing pin or straighten the end of a paperclip. Insert the straight end into the carpet and through the underlay until it hits the solid surface below the underlay. (Some carpets have a tightly woven backing so you may have to wiggle the paperclip or pin gently to force it through this backing).
  3. When the pin or paperclip hits the hard subfloor below grip the paper clip or pin with your index finger and thumb right at the highest point of the carpet, being careful not to move your finger and give a false reading.
  4. Remove the paperclip or pin from the carpet and measure from the end to your fingers. This will be the total height of your carpet and this measurement can be used when buying your Matshop chair mats.
  5. Note: Be sure to include the underlay in your measurement, most (99.9%) domestic homes have a 10mm underlay and will fall into the thick pile category.

High-quality computer chair mats are a cost-efficient investment

Replacing floors is very expensive, but spending more on a super sturdy chair mat is guaranteed to save you money in the long run. Your floors deserve great quality protection that lasts and lasts. Our heavy-duty chair mats are so durable that we can guarantee their lifetime for at least 12 years. They won't need replacing every 6 months like cheaper brands and are sturdy enough for heavy people.
